This year, 16 organizations are cooperating to create a full afternoon of tours and activities to showcase the treasures to be found in Downtown Torrington. Connecticut Open House Day is sponsored by the Connecticut Commission on Culture & Tourism, to broaden awareness of local cultural and tourism wonders. The organizations listed below are offering free or discounted admissions and special exhibits:

Joining in the spirit of this celebration, several downtown merchants and restaurants have offered discounts to help make this a special day to visitors. Click here for a complete list of special offers.

Walking maps will be provided at each location, courtesy of Franklin Print Shoppe and for those not interested in walking, the Northwest Transit Authority will provide a free shuttle bus which will stop at each location periodically throughout the event. All on-street metered parking and municipal lots throughout Downtown will offer free parking.
