TDC Seeking Interim Executive Director

The Torrington Development Corporation (TDC) is seeking a part-time independent contractor to serve as the Interim Executive Director. Position is approximately 10 hours/week and requires public office hours on Tuesday and Thursday mornings.

Responsibilities include: Coordination of downtown redevelopment efforts between the City, State agencies, planning consultants and interested developers; Research and apply for grant funding; Coordinate the Municipal Development Plan with planning consultant and DECD; Provide public relations updates that include press releases, updates to webpage and regular newspaper column; and other duties as determined by the Board of Directors.

Experience in economic development, municipal government and/or urban planning is required. Mail letter of interest and resume to PO Box 59, Torrington CT 06790 by August 15.
